The 2017 First Extraordinary Session called by Gov. John Bel Edwards will convene at 6:30 p.m. today. This special session is limited to topics identified in the governor's session call, which primarily focuses on legislation that impacts state revenues and expenditures. The session will adjourn no later than Wednesday, February 22.

The 2017 Regular Session will convene at noon, Monday, April 10 and adjourn no later than 6 p.m., Thursday, June 8. This session will primarily focus on fiscal matters, but lawmakers may file a limited number of bills on other topics, including retirement-related bills. A list of legislation impacting TRSL will be available on our website, www.TRSL.org, in the coming weeks.
