Session News #4: Senate and House adopt resolutions on Social Security Offsets

The Senate unanimously adopted House Concurrent Resolution 20 (Rep. Jones) and the House unanimously adopted Senate Concurrent Resolution 34 (Sen. Mizell), both of which request that Congress consider eliminating the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO) Social Security benefit reductions.

Both concurrent resolutions now await the signature of the Speaker of the House and the Senate President before being sent to the Louisiana Secretary of State.
