About TRSL

Retirement security in a changing world

TRSL is the state's largest public retirement system, providing services and benefits to more than 160,000 individuals. Founded in 1936, TRSL is a governmental defined benefit plan qualified under Section 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as a public trust fund to provide retirement benefits for its members. TRSL is funded by member and employer contributions and earnings from investments. TRSL is governed by a 16-member Board of Trustees.

Our goal is to provide exceptional member services, including accurate and timely benefit payments to all eligible retirees, beneficiaries, and survivors.

My TRSL

My TRSL is your one-stop, self-service area where you can quickly and easily access information about your personal retirement account and TRSL membership. This area is designed to help you access the most popular self-service features on our website, including our forms, benefit calculators, and workshop information.

We encourage all TRSL members to use Member Access. You'll have 24-hour access to your TRSL retirement account, where you can update your address or check your service credit if you are an active member, and view your 1099-R if you are a retiree.
